Users running Microsoft IIS 6 or newer may need to make alterations to the mime types registered with the server to ensure that end users are able to download the TTWeb program files. The file types required by TTWeb are shown in the following list:

File Extension MIME Type
.cmp text/plain
.clr text/plain
.hsp text/plain
.ini text/plain
.key text/plain
.lst text/plain
.tcf text/plain
.twc text/plain

The location of the MIME type settings are dependant on the version of IIS you are running.

For version 6.0:

  1. Open the IIS Manager, right-click the TTWeb Web Site, and then click Properties.
  2. Select the HTTP Headers tab.
  3. Click File Types in the MIME Map section.

For version 6.1 or later:

  1. Open the IIS Manager, select the TTWeb Web Site.
  2. Select the MIME Type icon.

Then, to define a MIME type for a specific extension, follow these steps:

  1. Click New Type.
  2. In the Extension box, type the file name extension that you want (for example, .ini).
  3. In the MIME Type box and type text/plain.
  4. Repeat for each type listed above.
  5. Apply the new settings.
Note: You must restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service for the changes to take effect.
