AJC backs a winner with TTWeb
Sydney, October 31st, 2000
The AJC (Australian Jockey Club) has slashed its host connectivity costs by investing in Turbosoft's web deployable terminal emulator TTWeb. Until recently the cost of distributing and managing soft- ware for the AJC's widely distributed branch structure was a major problem both in terms of cost and time taken to do it. The move to Turbosoft 's TTWeb has completely changed this picture. TTWeb is a web deployable terminal emulator, it operates via the corporate web site. The product can be configured centrally for any number of different users, and both the configuration and emulation software components will be automatically kept up to date.
The AJC's Michael Galvin said "When we were made aware of Turbosoft's TTWeb it sounded too good to be true." He added "We discussed our requirements in detail with Turbosoft prior to the release of TTWeb, and agreed to be part of the Beta program. Right from the onset we were very pleased with how the software performed."
Turbosoft's managing director Bernie Snoek said, "The AJC has been fantastic to work with in our Beta program, they were literally down the road and this allowed us to resolve issues in a matter of hours."
Galvin said "Not only does TTWeb include an extremely robust 7561 emulation for our ICL mainframe, the facility for centralised configuration made management a breeze. Software deployment has been an ongoing nightmare for us. TTWeb has fixed this in one go." He added "During the evaluation Turbosoft's support team has been a pleasure to deal with, it is refreshing to deal with a company that takes service seriously. The branches are extremely happy with TTWeb, they are going to be saving thousands of dollars on their phone bills".
Turbosoft is a 100% Australian company that develops and markets host connectivity software to all parts of the world. Turbosoft has been operating in the US and European markets for a number of years, and has amongst its customers organisations such as the ACT Government, MGM Grand, the American Automobile Association and France's Carrafour.
